Boise State QB Kellen Moore named Mountain West player of the week

For the third time in five games, Boise State senior quarterback Kellen Moore has been named the Mountain West offensive player of the week.

Moore was 23-of-31 for 254 yards and three touchdowns in two and a half quarters Friday night at Fresno State. He led the Broncos to a 57-7 win.

Moore also was named a player of the week after the Georgia and Toledo games.

The other players of the week were TCU safety Tekkerein Cuba (eight tackles, forced fumble) and TCU kicker Ross Evans (nine points to tie the Mountain West career scoring record of 356).

Moore is ninth in the nation in pass efficiency at 171.56 and tied for second with 17 touchdown passes. Mitch Burroughs is 13th in punt returns (15.6) and Doug Martin is 17th in all-purpose yards (161.6).

As a team, the Broncos are in the top 20 in scoring (40.6, 13th), scoring defense (14.8, 10th), total defense (293.0, 12th), pass efficiency defense (104.10, 13th), punt returns (13.3, 18th), kickoff returns (26.1, 13th), turnover margin (1.6, 5th), pass defense (174.4, 9th), pass efficiency (168.21, 11th) and sacks allowed (.4, tie for first).
