Boise Police: 33-year-old Nampa man charged with lewd conduct with a minor
Matthew J. Dilley is being held in the Ada County Jail on a felony charge of lewd conduct with a minor after police say he had illegal sexual contact with a child in 2008 at a Boise area home.
Police officials say they were first contacted about the case in April by a third party. Detectives then developed evidence the 33-year-old Dilley had illegal sexual contact with a child on more than one occasion in 2008, according to reports.
Police reports do not indicate when Ada County Prosecutors issued the arrest warrant for Dilley on the lewd conduct charge but jail records indicate he was arrested by Ada County Sheriff’s deputies just before 10 a.m. Friday.
Boise police say Dilley was well known to the victim.
Boise police had a safety plan in place following the report in April and say Dilley had no access to the child since then.
Dilley will make his initial court appearance Tuesday. Ada County courts are closed Monday because of Columbus Day.
The crime of lewd conduct is punishable by up to life in prison.
